SHERO (Sorors Helping to Excel and Restore Others) Mission Statement:
The SHERO Initiative strives to empower the Sorors of Alpha Gamma Xi Military Sorority Inc. to be unparalleled in their service to the women veteran community. To organize philanthropic projects that will identify women veterans in need of assistance. To bridge the gap for homeless, at-risk and/or displaced women veterans with appropriate support such as housing, health care and community support. To partner with housing providers, employers, community based non-profits and federal, state and local agencies to augment employment and housing options. We are committed to eradicating homelessness in the women veteran sector.
